With the flourishingng development of Chinese TV industry, more and more Chinese TV series has been shot to their fames, even some of the outstanding ones has beenreduced in other countries. Today, I’ll talk about a series of typical Chinese trendy TV series.
- It Start with a Kiss 恶作剧之吻
It Started with a Kiss is a Taiwanese drama starring Joe Cheng, Ariel Lin and Jiro Wang of Fahrenheit. It was based on the first 10 volumes of the Japanese manga series Itazura na Kiss written by Kaoru Tada. It was produced by Comic Productions and directed by Chu Yu-ning. It was one of the most epic Taiwanese dramas ever made and also one of the most popular Taiwanese dramas to be successful internationally.
- In Time with You 我可能不会爱你
In Time with You is a 2011 Taiwanese television series written by Mag Hsu and directed by Winnie Chu. It stars Ariel Lin and Chen Bolin.
- Autumn’s Concerto 下一站幸福
Autumn’s Concerto is a 2009 Taiwanese drama series starring Ady An, Ann Hsu, and Vanness Wu of F4. It was directed by Wei-ling Chen.
Autumn’s Concerto was nominated in 2010 for Best Marketing at the 45th Golden Bell Awards in Taiwan. The show has also broken records with its high ratings. Episode 18 (aired on 31 January 2010) achieved a score of 8.23.
- My Lucky Star 放羊的星星
My Lucky Star is a 2007 drama starring Jimmy Lin, Leon Jay Williams, and Yoo Ha-na. It was produced by Sanlih E-Television and directed by Chen Ming Zhang.
- Meteor Garden 流星花园
Meteor Garden is a 2001 Taiwanese drama starring Barbie Shu, Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu. It is loosely based on Japanese shōjo manga series Boys Over Flowers by Yoko Kamio. It was produced by Comic Ritz International Production with Angie Chai as producer and directed by Cai Yuexun.
At the conclusion of the series, F4 Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu continued to perform together and released three studio albums as quartet boy band F4. They ceased the use of the name “F4” in 2007 at the objection of Japanese publisher Shueisha, who owns the copyright to Hana Yori Dango.

Fated to Love You is the original Taiwanese television series, starring Joe Chen, Ethan Juan, Baron Chen and Bianca Bai.
The drama holds the record for the highest average single-episode rating at 10.91 with a peak at 13.64 for episode 20 broadcast on 27 July 2008. It was nominated in 2008 for six awards at the 43rd Golden Bell Awards, Taiwan and was awarded the 2008 Best Television Series and Best Marketing Programme. It was also covered by America’s Wall Street Journal.

My Sunshine is a 2015 Chinese television series based on the novel Silent Separation written by Gu Man. It stars Wallace Chung and Tiffany Tang. It received a huge success in China with over 10 billion views online.
- Green Forest, My home 绿光森林
Green Forest, My Home is a Taiwanese television series released in 2005. It stars Esther Liu, Leon Jay Williams, Ethan Juan, and Song Zhi Ai. Liu, who is also a member of the girl group Sweety, performs the opening theme song.

It was a remake of the popular Qiong Yao story “Dream Behind the Curtain”. There is also a 1996 Taiwanese adaptation starring Vivian Chen as Zi Ling, Xiao Qiang as Lu Ping, Kevin Lin as Chu Lian and Liu De Kai as Fei Yun Fan.
- Devil Beside You 恶魔在身边
Devil Beside You is a 2005 Taiwanese drama starring Mike He, Rainie Yang and Kingone Wang. It is based on Japanese manga Akuma de Sourou, The Devil Does Exist, written by Mitsuba Takanashi. It was produced by Comic Ritz International Production with Chai Zhi Ping as producer and directed by Lin He Long.
